Intramural Program Division 4 (U4-U8)
Our intramural program is for boys and girls ages 3 thru 7. Children are assigned to teams along with others in the same age group. Teams may be coed in the U4, U5, and U6 age groups. Practices are 1-2 nights per week depending on the age and are held on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday nights. In addition to regular scheduled practices, TUSC provides professional trainers that will conduct skills sessions at least one night a week for each age group (attendance is optional). Most games are played on Saturday mornings although some weeknight games may be scheduled occasionally. All games are played at Trussville Soccer complex.
Recreational Program Division 3 (U9-U18)
Commissioner Eric Larson-
Our recreational program is for boys and girls ages 8 thru 17. These teams compete against others in the Central Alabama Soccer League – CASL. Games are played at TUSC and other parks in the Birmingham area. Most games are scheduled on Saturdays but occasionally games may be played on other days on the week. Generally these teams will practice 2 nights per week on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. In addition to regular scheduled practices, TUSC provides professional trainers for skills and speed/agility training sessions one night per week (attendance is optional). Some Recreational teams may choose to compete in tournaments either in-state or out-of-state.
Competitive Program Division 1/2 State League (U11 – U18)
Commissioner Richy Gerhardt -
Our competitive program is for boys and girls ages U11 thru U18. These teams compete against others in the Alabama Youth Soccer Association – AYSA at either the Division I or Division II level. The overriding focus of the club is player development. The difference with the competitive program in comparison with the recreational and intramural programs is what is expected of the player and what the player expects while playing at the “State Level”. The competitive program entails a greater financial and time commitment. Games are played at TUSC, other parks in the Birmingham area and potentially in Montgomery, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa. Most games are scheduled on weekends but occasionally games may be played during the week. Generally these teams will practice 2 nights per week with their coach and have a third night of skills training with a club trainer. In addition, there may be speed and agility conditioning before one of the two practices. These teams also try to participate in at least 3 tournaments per season. Some being local tournaments while one or two may require travel throughout the Southeast.
